Parking to job hunt

June 9, 2009, Falls City, Neb: Gary Cummings is out of a job. Cummings, 62, was laid off from his job of 10 years working for Wasp, a manufacturer of luggage carts and dollies used by airport personnel to load bags into aircraft. He said he hopes economic times will improve and he'll be able to return to his job. He currently calls his car home. Both he and his car's automaker, Chrysler, have fallen hard times. Here, he spends time in his car reading the paper, mostly the classifieds, at Stanton Lake Park in Falls City. He said he gets most of his meals at Runza. (Photo by Bruce Thorson)
