Camper work
Patrick Breen (left), Kyle Bruggeman and Clay Lomneth spent Thursday evening, June 4, 2009 working inside the camper at the N.P. Dodge Park in Omaha, Neb. The 23-foot travel trailer will be home for them and Bruce Thorson, associate professor at the UNL College of Journalism and Mass Communications. They will spend the next two months traveling across Nebraska pursuing a photo documentary about life during the recession. In addition, they will explore why Nebraska is the "happiest state in the union," according to previous published reports.
Using a broadband router, creating a "mobile hotspot," they can all be connected to the Internet from just about anywhere in Nebraska. While the team is in its second day, they are all adjusting well to life in a travel trailer, shooting pictures, downloading and editing the files and then uploading to the web.
Patrick Breen noted that life in a travel trailer is "pretty fun, especially now with the internet connection."
